The retreat, grounded in the values of innovation, authenticity and paying-it-forward is intentionally crafted to encourage innovations to emerge from diverse collaboration. Attendees in 2017 spanned age groups, experiences, industries, geography, economic status, race, and ethnicity. The programming encourages curiosity-driven exploration with only four to five short talks by innovators to seed ideas and breakout sessions revolving around questions rather than topics. Attendees are encouraged to self-form small groups and pursue active sharing of knowledge.

Hosted by entrepreneur Jimmy Jia, the retreat will feature students, practitioners, serial entrepreneurs and thought leaders, across the variety of industries we call our professional home. Attendees should have a passion for inquiry, aspirations for improving their leadership, and a commitment to life-long learning.
